Crying is just a way for the body to release natural painkillers, so it—in and of itself—has no way to effect us negatively. But the surrounding circumstances could, like excessive stress.

Crying is an crucial way of dealing with stress. Kind of like a pressure value. It relieves stress that can destroy a person's emotional, mental and physical health. Too much crying can be a major sign of trauma or something else very serious to which that person might want to seek help for. 😊
