Being rid of unwanted flashbacks:

I tell myself that I'm in charge of my memories, and when an unwanted one pops up I simply tell that memory and those appearing in it to f--k o-f! It actually works, as they instantly go away and subsequently reappear less often. Be gone, you foul demons!

I remember watching a video on a science channel i used to be really into and he talked about how you can forget certain memories by thinking about other things when those flashbacks come up

Easier said than done and I don't know if I've "forgotten" unwanted memories but! When I have one and I make myself think about something else, over time, the negative memories come up less frequently

I've never met someone else that does this so that's cool
