how many books have you read so far?

me, around 130-140
I'm not 30 yet
I know this isn't good enough

Since I started keeping track around age 15, I've read about 300 books (an average of about 40 books a year, which is about right).

That doesn't count everything I've read for school.

I'm old. Been reading since early grade school. Poly-sci/English Lit major, professional texts....and I even read for enjoyment. In addition to reading them, my kids bought me a subscription to Audio books and I have listened to 33 of them since the first of the year. The bookshelf behind me has 160 books in it and I have read them all. It is but one of three bookcases in the house. I haven't a clue how many I have read over the years, certainly a thousand or more. Hell some of them I have read multiple times.

i never thought to keep count. surely the amount would be impressive. reading is my main hobby.
I don't have a clue. Thousands - maybe tens of thousands. A lot.

My good reads collection of 150-200 doesn’t reflect even a fraction of the books I’ve read. I’d say it’s over 1000
octoberthesixth · 26-30, F
@Jenny1234 what are some of your favourites?
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
@octoberthesixth Cathy Glass books, Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine, Piece of Cake by Cupcake Brown to name a few of my favourites Ive read in the past two years
At my age, I’d probably be around 1000+
I started reading around 13 and was keeping track until I was 27.

@CookieCrumbs is that the one with all the pictures?
Rolexeo · 26-30, M
Some people read that many in a year, or at least claim to. I never understood why, seems excessive
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
@Rolexeo they actually do and the ones in my Facebook book club act like it’s a competition as to who can read more. Like they finish a book in a day. I love reading but I’m not going to sit and read all day. My adhd doesn’t allow that lol
Rolexeo · 26-30, M
@Jenny1234 Exactly, like don't you want to process and think about it?
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
@Rolexeo I do. Sometimes I’m so heartbroken that a book as come to an end that I can’t pick up another book for weeks, sometimes months, because I know the next book will not compare
