@tallpowerhouseblonde I prefer my Glock but without it I could probably get away relatively unscathed. We are hitting defending against edged weapons and clubs really hard lately .
@Adogslife yep . Anyone with a knife that’s closer than 20 ft from me gets shot . One of my attorneys carries throwing knives in the neck of his jacket . He is so fast and accurate. It’s scary what he can do
@TexChik Does he fear revenge by someone due to his occupation? I have heard of lawyers being attacked and the lawyers were armed and shot in self-defense…don’t know how common it is for such things to happen
@cherokeepatti I carry and he works for me . Lots of attorneys carry , most conservative judges carry . In Texas lots of people carry . He likes concealed carry but chose the knife as his weapon.
@cherokeepatti he’s damn fast . He put a book on the counter and we stood side by side . He told me to draw and point my ( unloaded) gun at the book . Before I could clear it from my carry purse his knife was sticking out of the book .
@TexChik Probably smart to shoot. I just got into knives because my trainer trained with Dan Inosanto. We just morphed from JKD naturally into Kali then after a bit we moved to the knives. There are times I’ve almost been sick to my stomach with the training, but you definitely know where to and where not to put your arms and hands when a knife is involved. Blades are just different though…
