Online friends gone missing... you try to get in touch and...nothing. Later, email saying friend died....
People almost always assume another has just left and that's it. But...some people, you just know they wouldn't do that to you and others... Today, I got an email that a missing friend passed away. There are so many people that will feel this and miss him so very much. Try not to take your online friends for granted.

It happened to me this week too. I lost a dear friend to covid. she had cancer 4 times, got a blood infection and then covid. she passed last month but i just found out this week. i am broken hearted

@akindheart I'm really sorry about your friend. It has to be hard watching someone fight with cancer and all. It really hurts to not know what happens to someone for such an amount of time.
@SW-User i took her to her chemo and dr. appts. because her husband was out of town. i called her and she sounded normal and then the next week she passed. it hurt because her husband knew my name and yet he didn't call me.

@akindheart That truly has to hurt... to not even be told by her husband. I'm really sorry for you. I hope your heart is mending.
@akindheart Don't be too hard on the husband. It takes a while to get your head on straight after losing a loved one like that. It has been almost a year for me and I am still finding things that I should have and need to do. The first couple of weeks are just a blur.
@bowman81 Four years and four months for me. Easier now than it was but still I think of her every day. In the first weeks it was hard to do anything more than the bare minimum.
