Αλεξάνδρα /Alexandra it means the one who protects men. It is a compound word made up of the ancient Greek Alex (Άλεξ) which means protect ,and Andras (Άνδρας) which means man . Could explain Great Alexander's name as the ancient Greeks believed that names described a person's character
