I mean I suppose someone could change careers 😅 but other than that 🤔🤔 I have no idea what you mean

@adorbz Both are called engineers but nothing they do is even remotely similar or related.

@MethDozer since when are train drivers called engineers 🤔
adorbz · 26-30, F
@MethDozer oh of course this is an american thing 👀 the phrase “train driver” is just too complicated for you guys to work out 😅
MethDozer · M
@adorbz Always have been.
MethDozer · M
@adorbz Well to be fair it isn't like they actually drive the train. Damn thing pretty much drives itself you just control the throttle and speed.
adorbz · 26-30, F
@MethDozer but they definitely don’t build the train like an engineer would 😆
@adorbz In the U.S. it is what we call train drivers too.
😄

@adorbz Exactly my point.

I mean it is weird how most engineers don't actually do anything at all with engines. So in a sense it makes more sense to call the train dude an engineer but at the same time the word was already taken.

@MethDozer just wait til we get onto social engineering

@adorbz It's an evil activity by nature but can be fun sometimes.
