Men: if you had a girlfriend, would you still continue a friendship with your female friends?

I used to have a guy friend who I was close with for two years. He quit talking to me and hasn't spoken for a year... :/ I've never understood why. I can understand he'd be busy, but he knows I'd be fine with hanging out with them both. He doesn't even message me...

@JupiterDreams: Wow. Not sure what that's about. Him or her, or both. I used to do stuff like that years ago when I was like 13. But at that age I had no idea how to manage emotions and infatuation, peer pressure, etc. Not an excuse but often when not knowing what to do, I did nothing then later was too embarrassed to face girls I just kinda stopped taking to. But that was then. To do something like that now would be nothing short of cowardice plain and simple. For me anyway. I'd really hate if someone did me that way. I actually did have that experience a few times. But again long ago. More reasons why that's not something I could do now.

I dunno... I know he did want to... sleep with me at one point, so I thought maybe that made him feel awkward. But at the same time he told me he wanted to remain friends, before he met her. :/ He's 23, so I'd think he would know how to manage his feelings... :/
