I noticed something tonight that has me a bit concerned.

Twice since I've been logged in women have commented to me that they are, "Ugly" It angers me that industry marketing has created the false idea that beauty has so much value and importance, I don't know if it's just the fashion/makeup industry that has created this myth. Probably a number of different venues. Regardless, it's an untruth and it's hurting women self- confidence, self- esteem and a poor self- image.

Truth is, I know many handsome men who adore their chubby, homely wives/girlfriends. My own best friend
is homely as a mud fence but to me she is beautiful.

I wish they would start classes in High School to teach REAL important values. Women should embrace WHO they are not what they look like. This is not a trivial matter. Some suffer severe depression not to mention other factors that cause them to have a sense of less value than very attractive "Looks" Okay, soapbox is over.

Yea you make a good point.

Truth is....The Media has drilled and programmed society with an overwhelming high scale of superficiality into everyone of our minds.

Beauty and fashion is without a doubt, appealing .

We all notice the most attractive person in every crowd.
It's an unconscious visual that turns the mind into program mode and focus.

We cant help it.

It's like I've said before...

To recognize a person's beauty that shines from within,we need to observe how they carry themselves around others and we need to meet and engage in conversation, not to judge, but to feel the energy this person let's out.

You can fall for someone you have never met face to face.

Yea it's not in our conscious mind to look away without a glance at beauty.

It's our power of communication that enlightens the heart and reveals an unconditional beauty that connects one another from the soul.

I agree with this but it goes the same way for men too. Why do you have a picture of a very attractive man in your profile photo that I don’t believe is you? You catch more bees with honey?

@Grateful4you I saw that. She is a friend and I am worried about her.

Your post isn’t flawed, it’s all true. I just thought it was ironic with your picture. I have seen a few specific posts where women have been told they are ugly. It’s cruel. I was told by a user on one of my posts with a picture of me on it that I needed to lose weight. If you have nothing nice to say then say nothing.
@iamonfire696 I fully agree with that. People have no idea the damage they are doing or probably could care less. I try my best but sometimes my goofy sense of humor doesn't go over well.

Have a great rest of the week, I probably won't be around again until August.
