For people who read Sylvia Plath's work, weren't you repulsed by how superficial and racist her personality is?

She used the N word and made racist references, I understand she lived back when racism was acceptable but I'm just not enchanted by any personality that's racist when acceptable

idk who that is, but taking books out of the context of the time period is how we censored huckleberry Finn iirc.

I personally think that's retarded.

Try to refrain from using offensive words, you can easily make a point without them. I understand what you're saying, I'm still not terribly thrilled about her personality all in all though
I only use offensive words, I'm a cunt like that. Her attitude is probably standard of the time period. You really can't be upset with a person who couldn't have ever known any better.

That's like spanking a baby for knocking things over.

@VampiricPersona: Her being superficial is also reflective of her time period? Doubtful. By ysing the R word you are actually hurting people who are mentally challenged, but you are yout own person, I did what I can do.
@offingg: I'm actually not hurting them, it's not like I'm altering their quality of life by saying it. Besides I'm using the word correctly. Since it does have more than a single usage.

@VampiricPersona: Suit yourself.
