Saw someone I know today but I couldn't remember who they are. It's driving me crazy

I was biking to Walmart and then I saw someone that I thought I knew. But I couldn't remember where from. And then they looked at me like they were trying to remember too, and then waved frantically at me. But they were in a car and it was at an intersection so they sped off when the light changed (they were going in the opposite direction as me). So like, I'm SURE we know each other. But I have no idea from where. It's insane. I can't remember if I know them from

-class/research group(probably not, because I would recognize them if I met them so recently)

-any of the sports I play (no! I've looked up everyone I know and can't find his face)

-my childhood (maybe??? But I grew up in Texas and I'm in CA now. Not very likely but still a possibility)

-SW/EP/Vent or any other online place - also possible, but I doubt it. I can't remember their name.

This is so insane to me because his name is at the tip of my tongue but I just can't remember. Oh well.

I had a 20 min phone call years ago that went something like that and we finally realized it was a wrong number and we didn't know each other.
@somedude15 Funnier still - I met a woman here at my apartment complex and we decided to get together on Thursday. She said she'd call and gave me her number. An hour after the agreed-upon time I texted the number and said, "Do we have a date or not?"

No reply. An hour later I tried again, joking: "Don't you love me anymore?"

Finally, a response. "Lady, i don't know who the hell you are, but you're ******* up my birthday."

Wrong number -to a birthday boy with a jealous wife.

@Mamapolo2016 Oh my God😂😂😂😂 I'd hate to be in the poor guys shoes🤣 it'd be especially worse for him if he'd been doing some shady stuff recently
@somedude15 I finally offered to talk to her, but I do not think she was convinced. I felt bad for the poor guy, but it was so funny just the same.

Lol I did this one time. I had a hotel guest that seemed very familiar to me. Seems like I was familiar to her too. Neither of us could narrow it down to how we knew each other
Thanks for BA and I hope you figure out who it was.
