I was having a huge fight with my gf and went into the women’s restroom by mistake. I used a stall and only realized my mistake when I heard some women talking as they walked in….

I gathered my composure… walked out and washed my hands…..

The woman next to me said….

What are you doing here?


I looked at her and said…

I’m a transvestite.


Then I walked out!

When my wife and I visited Paris years ago, we came to the conclusion that the French consider the words 'men" and "women" on the doors to be merely "initial suggestions." If there was something inconvenient about the facility designated for their gender (either too crowded, or out of service) people used the other one: men in the women's facility and women in the men's facility. Nobody, neither the "visitors" nor the "home team", made a big deal about it.

Was at a funeral home for a viewing and had to go, but I was probably still in middle school.

Anyway when I came out of the bathroom, I saw on the door in front of me said men. So I walked out best I could and didn't seem like anybody noticed. Of course I was embarrassed as anything.
