Hello,

Just to clarify, this does NOT mean that there has been a data leak on Similar Worlds.

This just means that the password that @morvoren uses on Similar Worlds is included in one of those databases that have been leaked.

You can check if your password has been in a data leak, here: https://haveibeenpwned.com/Passwords

If your password manager or your browser says that your password is compromised, just change it to a more secure password.

We encrypt your passwords in our database, so even if there had been a data leak, your passwords wouldn't be exposed anyway (not even admins can know what your password is). The way it works is that when you type your password, we encrypt it, and compare with what's on the database. If it matches, then your password is correct.

Regards.

@Nuno
Good news — no pwnage found!
This password wasn't found in any of the Pwned Passwords loaded into Have I Been Pwned. That doesn't necessarily mean it's a good password, merely that it's not indexed on this site. If you're not already using a password manager, go and download 1Password and change all your passwords to be strong and unique.
Good tool, thanks for that
@Nuno I did think that was the case but thank you for confirming. 🙂
@Miram
I got the same result.

I've just created this Help Page, for future reference: https://similarworlds.com/help/69-My-browser-says-that-my-SW-password-has-been

Also Note: while haveibeenpwned.com is a well respected website and trusted by the community, we are not responsible for anything that happens after you type your password on that website.
(but you should be fine, as long as you ONLY use that website, and not any other website)
