~Gracias A La Vida~

Thank you for my life. I am sad but I* am Grateful. The old men are killing my mother the earth. She cries, I cry, the four- leggeds cry, the trees, mountains, forest, birds, rocks and mountains all cry and you cannot hear. Will not hear.

We are so many yet so very few who know you, see you, hear you, feel you, or know your pain.

I have covered my head in the tall green grasses and kissed, touched the heart of you. Your colors are fading, I'm so very sorry the old men are killing you and I am afraid. Everywhere life is dying yet in the far distance I hear young people singing. We shall overcome, We shall overcome, Not with a sword but with a song. Old men we shall not be moved, we cannot hear or see you. You cannot, will not touch us.

We, the children are here to save our mother. Our birth too was from a virgin. Know her, her name is Gaia, not Mary.

We the young people came long before you. We come again. A second coming. Old men will sleep soon and our colors will shine brightly. In the Universe a chorus, a song, a vibration of love,

~Namaste old men~

That is a beautiful piece of writing. It is a combination of pain and hope.
@helensusanswift Thanks for saying so. The combo of both was very much part of the theme. Appreciate this comment hon.

@Grateful4you Pain for the past and present
Hope for the future
History is a message
If properly learned.

Forget politics and the antics of kings
People and nature are the themes
Wars and greatness are man's foolishness
Working together is the only means
Of saving and improving the world we share,
Black, white, green or tartan,
Humans are people beneath the skin
Of that one fact my knowledge is certain
With human unity we only can win.
@helensusanswift While I'm mainly secular, I do believe in Unity as a hope for the future. It is the Greta Thunberg's of the world I have a deeply rooted belief in.

@Grateful4you I'm Church of Scotland but at present the churches are failing the people, and the world. We have a long way to go, yet, and seem burdened by a clutch of sabre rattling idiots as leaders.
@helensusanswift "Burdened by a clutch of sabre rattling idiots as leaders" Almost sounds like "The Pirates of Penzance" LOL

@Grateful4you Gilbert and Sullivan knew their stuff. Their very model of a modern major general was not far off the truth, either. Sir Garnet was fine in a limited campaign, but never tested in anything major, thank goodness.
@helensusanswift I loved the absurdities of their musicals. I loved theatre period. Especially Portias "Mercy" speech. And several others.

@Grateful4you The irony is that the absurdities are based on reality. They were top class satirists.
