Just as painful but couldn’t say worse

ABSOULUTELY! My dog took ill one Sunday and I rushed her up to animal emergency where they couldn't determine what was wrong and said she was on her way out. Balled like a baby! Finally got in to see her regular vet at the end of the week where they ran tests and wrote a script. She is still with me. Shortly after my mother died. Thank God it wasn't the dog!

They are part of the family so I would say it's the same

Had to put my cat down 2 years ago. She was sick. Her kidneys were failing. And she was down to 7 pounds. It was for the best but did not make it any easier. Had her cremated. Once in a while I hear her in the house. Once in the bean bag chair, and another time I could hear her in the bed room digging through stuff like she often did. Meow

Not worse but somewhat similar, many of our pets live to be 15-20 years old and they do become part of our families and our lives.

They're also part of the family. Depends on how attached a person is to their pet.

For me I'd say it's the same. Pets are family.
