Is it feasible to think Trump may actually do prison time?

@Viper Will Trump even fight Scotland's money laundering case or will he just let them take his Turnberry Golf resort? Will he give his DNA in his defamation/rape case or will he just pay whatever the fine will be?

@Viper Much as I'm loathe to admit it, you're probably right. I just keep hoping, maybe.
Don't forget though he is no longer a "Top political person" he's an everyday civilian subject to the same laws at least in theory. Crosses fingers.

@Grateful4you He has the Senate fighting to NOT expose his insurrection right now so he has an excellent chance of staying out of jail. All he needs is one of the Judges McConnell installed over the last 4 years.

He STILL is a top political person! Even if he's not in office... they're shielding him.

@Pitchblue Yeah, another sad fact. How McConnell can look his constituents in the eye is beyond me. I couldn't sleep at night with that kind of obvious guilt. Talk about selling yourself to the devil. Somehow, in some way Mitch will have to pay. He will live to rue the day he sold himself out.

@Viper It's his base. The base doesn't want the truth they want a symbol an idol. The Republicans need those votes so they go along with The Big Lie. They can't start telling the truth now. The Truth gets you booted in the Republican Party today.

@Grateful4you Actually everything is going as planned they are steadily working towards ending voting. They know they can't win fair elections anymore.

Most of us go through life wanting to do the right thing and some corrupt jackass ends up having the last hurrah, it's such a blatant disregard for the American people and a slap- in the face of ethics and simply being a decent human being. As much as I hate to say it, the man deserves the worst kind of punishment imaginable.

These are the type of people who would set their own house on fire. When the Liberal asks Why Would You Do That???? Their response would be, You should see the look on your face right now snowflake.

@Viper He’s fought [i]civil[/i] lawsuits like this for almost his entire adult life. These are [i]criminal[/i] charges he’ll be facing. His legal team will certainly try to extend the discovery process, but the trial will happen in NY state- and city’s- timeframe, not his. He’s not going to be able to dictate the terms here.

Almost any extremely wealthy person can delay, delay and delay cases, even criminal cases. And it's not like he's a young guy... his younger brother has possible already died to old age.

And they're still attempting to collect records, which the last I have heard, they haven't been able to collect as the defense has been delaying... and it wouldn't shock me to find out they've "lost" them or can't get ahold of them, once they can delay no longer. So possibly still an extremely long way to go until they even consider trying to attempt to start the trail.

Add to the fact, he'll probably be trying to run for office... to get out of trouble if nothing else. And it's harder to touch someone when they have political control and especially when they're running for an office.
