This reminds me of some of the hilarious porn titles... ooops, I mean tasteful erotica titles that used to be on display in Blockbuster, that were variations of popular films of the time, though I can't actually think of any examples 😆

@PhilDeep In the late 1800's all the fashion on the Harvard campus were the "Little Willie" stories. Here is an exemplary example. "From his mirror Willie sucked the mercury all off, thinking in his childish error it would cure his whooping cough. At the funeral Willies mother said smartly to Mrs. Brown, "Twas a chilly day for William when the mercury went down"

@PhilDeep Those were taught me by the former curator of modern art at the Detroit Art institute, I was her caregiver, she lived to be 107 many decades before "Carry on" movies were thought of.

People would ask her secret to longevity she responded, "A cigar, great whiskey, and a man with a cute butt"
