Are you vaccinated? I just booked an appointment for the J&J vaccine

Thanks to my university's laws, it's either get vaccinated or get tested twice weekly, and the testing is honestly a drag. I would've tried to get the Moderna or Pfizer ones but the supply is limited and so even if I get my first dose now I might have to wait for up to a month or longer to get my second dose. Still lowkey worried about clotting lol but there's a 2x lower chance of that happening than being struck by lightning. And I'll finally be able to go out and do stuff again once I'm vaccinated so the benefits outweigh the risks.
I'm also not too worried about COVID-19 honestly because I was in Nigeria at the height of it and despite our government's ineptitude and lax social distancing laws, infections and deaths were very low compared with the developed world. I guess Africa got lucky with this one, at least people from West Africa I guess. People actually getting sick from covid was really rare.

Congratulations, although I don't understand your university rules.

Even if you are vaccinated you can still get covid, carry it and spread it around, so regular testing is still necessary.

Why should you then get the vaccine you may ask....Well firstly you will not get as sick with covid if you do catch it and secondly, the more people that are vaccinated the less the virus will spread

Good luck.
