I was blessed to have to be self-sufficient.....and with quite the work ethic. Sure, quite the life of drink and drugs for the longest of times, but always making sure I had enough to pay for my home and, at that time, my one daughter.
Later on, I found someone to not only share my life but to share the bills and keep me on the (mostly) straight and narrow...and then it's just about saving.
Not easy - nothing worthwhile is - but satisfying.
Keep on.
