A hard copy of the 1040 tax directions! Those used to be available everywhere. I'm sick of scrolling online馃槧

@MeowsoliniReturns yes! They are always there. But this year we are supposed to do everything online. 馃槕
I did not think I would care, but my eyes are killing me from looking at the screen. It's 135 pages I don't feel like printing it all but MAN馃槕

I did mine online (Free File) for the first time last year. It was pretty easy. But mostly because my returns are always simple. Last weekend I Free Filed again. Easy again.

I confess I rarely read the instructions anymore. I just open up last-year's return and do the same things, but with the new numbers.

And when it is all done, you can save the PDF of your return.

The only annoying thing is the W2. You cannot upload a PDF or photo. You must actually key in all the fields. That is hard because of my eyesight. To see my W2 (a paper copy that had been mailed to me) I have to take off my glasses. To see the screen, I have to put my glasses back on.

I keep wondering why I have to enter it all. Wouldn't the IRS already have it? Or have they just not bothered to scan it, or whatever.

Good luck!
