How come Chauvin got 2 murder convictions of different degrees and a manslaughter?

I thought one murder = one conviction - don’t understand all the different convictions.

There’s a difference between you got spooked and killed someon or you just wanted to knock them out and killed someone by accident then them begging for mercy but you’re still killing them

@SW-User I agree - accidental is man slaughter and murder is intentional (generally) so if he meant to kill him why the manslaughter?
SW-User
@NiftyWhite I think it’s fair. If you’re going for intentional murder,it should include all of the lower categories

@SW-User well (where I’m from anyway) there’s also involuntary man slaughter. that’s a lesser charge but he didn’t get that. either he meant to (murder) or not.

@NiftyWhite does involuntary manslaughter invole the victim begging for his life?
NiftyWhite · 46-50, F
@SW-User no - does plain ol’ manslaughter?
SW-User
@NiftyWhite not really but I think it should be included. Did you kill this man? Yes did you know you’re killing this man? Yes. Boom! Two for one
