Honest question: why would someone of a certain race be less likely to own ID?

I’m not being provocative, I don’t know the answer and the media says it’s a problem but not why.

I need ID to vote, by alcohol, get in to night clubs, collect secure post and so on. I just flash my licence and move on. Why is it not so easy for others?

I have asked here before, lots of people liked my comment but nobody replied.

A question for the brits only?
@Pfuzylogic No. This is apparently an issue in Georgia. British are used to using their drivers licence or passport in these situations. Who doesn’t have one or the other?

The important thing for us was to get rid of that piece of shit last election Georgia had zero fraud and honestly I would have felt better if the election was stolen.
@Pfuzylogic I understand that. But I still don’t understand why it’s racist to ask people to prove proof of who they are before they vote.

Our system is us prove residency and who you are, and you get issued with a polling card. You show up at polling station with your card and vote.

So what’s the challenge?

@SirenCalledLuce
The challenge was obvious in Georgia when the governor and six white Republicans signed the new law under a plantation painting. They also arrested a black state representative knocking on the door to get in the meeting.
From now on people will be arrested for providing water of food in line for those waiting for hours to vote. Sound racist yet?
@Pfuzylogic Those incidents, yep they are proper racist, wrong and ridiculous existing in a country that tells everyone else it’s the land of the free. But it doesn’t say why it’s racist to expect people to have personal ID

There are people that are qualified to vote that face a challenge acquiring them.
Why not require those that buy firearms the same requirements.

It is easier to purchase firearms Thant to vote in the US.
Could you imagine Britain if it was simple to purchase a firearm.
Your knifings might go down.
@Pfuzylogic You don’t need ID to buy a gun?
Pfuzylogic · M
@Pfuzylogic Wow. That’s properly fucked up.

Why do you think republicans are trying to do what they do?
They are worse than the royals in discrimination.
@Pfuzylogic I love how your replies always peppered with little jabs.

I like that metaphor.
Somethings are obvious to me but you have to experience the racism in the US.
Weren’t we friends one time recently? 🧐

@SirenCalledLuce yes you do need an ID to buy a gun unless you buy them off the street
