What is the New Age religion? These people who talk about how "the Universe is Benevolent" and "putting out good energy" get on my nerves.

I am actually starting to dislike religious people, even Christians - and I'm a Christian.

I think putting out good energy is related to karma or the concept of what you put out is what you get back. Which has been around for a hell of a long time 馃

@MorbidCynic Yes, Pussy Pincher, it's related to Karma, of course. Most New Age religious precepts are partially borrowed from old religious concepts.

@LoveTriumphsOverHate lmao someone is bitter for no reason 馃槀 wtf is a pussy pincher and why are you so pissy for no reason ? What a baby
MorbidCynicF
@LoveTriumphsOverHate then it鈥檚 not new age if the concept is old. That鈥檚 like saying Paganism is new age lol

@MorbidCynic Oh shut up. Every week you're a new nationality. Now, you're Mexican? 馃槀
MorbidCynicF
@LoveTriumphsOverHate I like to change my location because you don鈥檛 need to know where I鈥檓 from.

@LoveTriumphsOverHate stop changing the subject

@MorbidCynic I'm not entirely sure about this, but I believe karma is based on action, not thoughts, and those actions must be followed up with good intentions. Not that I give a shit about any of the nonsense but there's
a difference. When these new age hippies are talking about giving out good energy, they're talking about having a positive attitude and speaking positively. That's not exactly the same as karma.

@LoveTriumphsOverHate that鈥檚 why I mentioned the concept of putting out what you want back. Most people who I met that say this tend to also be all about random acts of kindness, paying it forward, charity, etc.

@MorbidCynic If a person does something with the sole intention of producing good karma for themselves, their intentions were never good to begin with. It sounds egocentric - a defective version of the golden rule: Do good unto others so, ultimately, I can help myself.
