Best videogame for non gamers?

I'm not into gaming but I kinda wanna try. Suggestions for a beginner?

World of warcraft is great if you have someone to play with. Exploring the world for the first time is so exciting

@SolGryn It's also free to play for the first 20 or so levels, isn't it? I don't play, but that's a good introduction to the MMO genre.

@FaeLuna yes the first 20 are free. Seeing people get excited about going somewhere or seeing something for the first time makes me smile
