What does it mean when someone on sw claims to know everything about you they say that they are a pirate investigator and they know everything?

Someone tried that on me on a thread a long time ago. I called their bluff and it was painfully obvious they had nothing as they tried to salvage their "cool hacker" persona with insults and threats. Anyway, I reported them for harassment after that, and they got banned.
