@BabyLonia It’s more brazen now. My girlfriend and I were talking about it and it’s like people have been given license to visibly and openly hate.

@BabyLonia For my part, I haven’t felt hate towards gays like this since before the brutal beating and murder of Mathew Shepard. Makes me scared.

@JustGoneNow It does not help when you have political, and religious leaders, who turn a blind eye to it, or say stupid things. They embolden the extremists.

@chrisCA no. it definitely doesn’t. it’s scary. as an interracial gay couple, my girlfriend and I have to be more careful in public now, and very aware of our surroundings. much more than before.

@JustGoneNow People sometimes have problem with interracial straight couples but for interracial gay ones, I don't imagine anyone really cares because the dynamics of being and dating as LGBT are quite different than being and dating as straight.
