Why bother blocking someone just because they answer a question

You can't keep everyone happy. Opinions to some are like a dagger through the heart. They just can't take it unless it follows their narrative

It's a craving for an echo chamber and if what comes back is not what they thought that they had sent out, they can't cope. I see more and more replies to comments I can't see, so I must be blocked my more than I realised and I have no idea how I offended. But, there are still plenty of people to have interesting chats with.

I don't mind anyone having a doffe opinion as long as they are respectful about it.

Sometimes they block you of fear, of losing discussion in public.

I completely agree. The block button is a great tool when it's really needed. But it's used just as a convenience so much of the time.

Sometimes I do a Mercy block, knowing my profile is only going to piss the person off. But generally it’s a silent motion and they likely are unaware of it.
