I had the first dose two weeks ago. Mine was the Oxford vaccine. I was questioned about any reaction I had in the past to 'flu' jabs and other medical details by several people before getting the jab. It was a deep intra-muscular injection so I expected some soreness and I had a little ache the next day. I was one of thousands who were treated that day. I am looking forward to my next dose.

I have chosen not to have this vaccine.

If you click on that first data link, it gives a lot of info from over many years and payouts.

@JerseyGal Thanks...I'll check this out. I am surprised that someone was inept enough as to give a vaccination in the wrong place.
I'd think it would be like heart operations: you want to go where they do 500 a year, not 50 (the numbers are higher for giving injections, but you understand).
The CoViD places run by healthcare systems seem to be staffed by people who are doing thousands of injections, & probably already had a bit of experience. OTOH, pharmacies like Rite-Aid did not have dedicated vaccination staff (maybe that changed with the distribution monies in the last big bill), so it may have varied widely in terms of experience vaccinating ppl.

@JerseyGal Thank you for the link. I'm still on the fence about getting the Covid vaccine. I am NOT a proponent of ANY vaccine. I'm going to wait a while to see what develops from these particular vaccines (which, I understand, are not true vaccines, but experimental drugs).

still not taking it
@Moon3624 this dipshit of a US government is starting to force people to take it
jonathanhenders · 41-45, M
@undetermined no they aren’t
@jonathanhenders yeah thats what the paper work some of the government is thinking of enforcing showing u have been vaccinated.

I had the first dose of the Astra Zeneca and felt no affect at all. Not even a sore arm.
Moon3624 · 18-21, F
@MrAverage1965 good for you!
Some people face side effects while others don’t. But your arm will eventually start hurting as it’s a must 😅💞 good luck

I would take it if I were you. Sorry you felt bad, but at least had a quick recovery. I guess it’s the luck of the draw.
Moon3624 · 18-21, F
@Softandsweet2 thank you, I don’t regret taking it !

@Moon3624 Barely felt Pfizer first dose, no sore arm on Pfizer 2nd dose.

You're 17? How did you qualify for the vaccine?
mayguy · 51-55, M
Did you have any side effects after that? I think it's about 6 weeks since you took it. 🤔 My first dose of Pfizer was 12 days ago. My second dose will be in about 9 days (after that dose is usually when the side effects occur with that vax).

SW-User
It was life threatening to people who died from it unfortunately
Moon3624 · 18-21, F
@SW-User they said it’s false news and that there is no link found between deaths and the vaccination. But honestly who knows? it could be.
I believe taking it or not is a personal opinion just like the flu shot , no one should be blamed/judged for taking it and ofc vice versa

I got the Moderna on April 25 and didn’t notice any side effects. The next one is scheduled for for May 24.
vetguy1991 · 51-55, M
Will you get a second shot
Moon3624 · 18-21, F
@vetguy1991 yes, my second dose is in 3 months.

Had Covid-19. Tested positive. Shitty flu. Tested negative, then tested positive for antibodies.
Elessar · 26-30, M
@Trippy Oh good, glad to hear. 🧡
I hope so too, they actually don't mind it much, as they're the super sportive, always busy always outdoors types for whom meals are more of a boring chore than any pleasurable moment; if it happened to me I'd get depressed probably, being food one of my anchors in life 😐

Weird how the BBC call it an RNA vaccine, but if you say that it’s an RNA vaccine and that that is a bad thing, all of a sudden it is denied as a conspiracy theory, no rna altering, here.
SomeMichGuy · M
@pianoplayingsteve You said it was an RNA vaccine, and mRNA is more precise. IDK what MRA is.
You have spread misinformation about the vaccines in other posts, and you have yet to say why an mRNA vaccine is "a bad thing"...what are your references?
And yes, with vaccines based on this new, mRNA approach knocking it out of the ballpark at ~95% effectiveness (the std flu vaccines are only ~50% effective), then saying that they are "bad" with ZERO real references, data, etc., IS simply spreading crap, and trying to plant seeds of doubt.
If you remember last year, about April, Dr. Fauci said that a vaccine 50% effective would be good, 60% effectiveness would be great. That is the sort of effectiveness which they had hoped for, based upon the other experience.
The mRNA-based vaccines are amazing.
So please either
a) be explicit in your condemnation, saying WHY and giving REFERENCES (this means to peer-reviewed research, etc., not YT videos of nurses who have hearsay);
OR
b) stop being part of the whisper campaign.
To be more blunt, put up or shut up.

@pianoplayingsteve Never hurts to be accurate but you never give any real refs, just vague whispers.
Again, put up, or shut up.
