I have a thing with neednles. When I was a kid, the schools refused to admit you unless we had a certain number and types of sots. I grew up in the era when parents were almost paranoid with polio worries, and we had to have booster shots in addition to measles, German measles, mumps. I have not gpne out since the COVID19 began and have things delivered. I wear a mask within the confines of my building.. I hear about the kickbacks from vaccine and hesitate,

@MaryJanine I have had problems with flu vaccines all winter long the 3 times I took them. Why would I want a Covid vaccine? And I developed rheumatoid arthritis in my 30s after getting the flu vaccine. I believe it wasn’t a coincidence

@Nimbus Good thought. I remember reading somewhere shortly after this COVID19 started that some stupid mother KNEW her daughter (about 7) had the virus, and she not only didn't take the child to the doctor but sent her to school SICK. Spread city!

@cherokeepatti I had rheumatoid arthritis in both knees. Still do. I can't sit too long without being stiff and sore when I get up. When I moved here, my one brother bought me a futon to sleep on. It's a year later, and there are hills and valleys in the stupid thing. I want a small sleeper sofa - I can't sleep on something meant for one or two-night pvernight guests!

@MaryJanine I don’t think I could sleep on a futon. You might do well with a nice recliner chair that reclines way back. I had one that I slept in when my lower back hurt really bad for about 6 weeks and couldn’t get comfortable in my bed.

@cherokeepatti That's what I had in mind. He bought it without my being with him and raved about it - but the Internet SAYS outright that futons are for overnight guests -not day in and day out. I get up in the morning or during the night and my knees and ankles are stiff and sore.

@MaryJanine A lift chair that reclines where you can lay flat back would be ideal but if you get the right type of recliner you would do OK. I had one that fit my back like a hand fits into a glove. Never buy a recliner unless you check it our really well and make sure it feels good when you recline it all the way. Some recliners are too short or too tall for the back and are not comfortable.

@cherokeepatti A word to the wise is sufficient. Thank you. My brother is an Internet shopper and buyer. When I moved into my first apartment, my brother bought me leather chairs and other furniture in what I termed "Funeral Black" - I feek at times like I live in a funeral home. There are maybe three pieces of furniture which are not black. I told him this and his answer was Oh-well-it-doesn't-show-dirt. Soap and water are cheap.

@cherokeepatti lift chairs are just a waste of money. take up too much space to operate and are horribly uncomfortable when sitting.
93 year old grandmother got one, paid like $1500 for it, sent it back within 3 days

@wildbill83 I knew someone who needed it because of her knees, depends on the person
