On an unrelated note, would you consider a 30% yearly return on your total portfolio a good return?

Depends on the size of the portfolio.
Yes if you are risking a big amount. I make 20 % on a monthly basis and I know I can do better.

@SimplyLogicalDiscipline 20% on a monthly basis? Hm, so you're saying you make 9 times your money in a year, huh? And what's your investment philosophy?
@Nomad7 I do technical analysis,I am an intraday trader. No philosophy as I Trade index.
I was thinking to learn fundamental analysis but I guess ROI is very less , got to know from my friend who is a fund manager ,she does fundamental and does 8 to 10 percent on a monthly basis.

@SimplyLogicalDiscipline As a fund manager, you're not allowed to lie about your performance, which I'm pretty sure your friend is doing. A fund that has an 8-9% monthly return is one which every single person would want to invest in and there's no chance I wouldn't have heard of it. Which fund is this?
@Nomad7 I wanted to know if I can do better if I shift to fundamental analysis, so asked her what is the best return I can expect in a month if I start doing what is doing, she told max 8 to 10 percent. Didn't ask which fund. Will ask.
