Imagine being a Professor teaching a 3.5 hour class

Almost everyone has turned their cameras off, and this guy just keeps talking. I know he's doing his best but his voice is so monotonic and full of "ums" that I'm doing everything I can not to fall asleep. It was a bad idea to have a class this long, I feel like after the 2 hour mark people can't go on.

3.5 hours? So many professors are academics who can't communicate. It obviously wasn't on the topic of education or he would have done some research on eLearning and realised his 3.5 hour class idea is a fail.

@Medoesnotcare I do training across a large NGO. Thousands, and tens of thousands of people. I have to train across cultures. I want the people I train to understand it so well that they can train others and when they do the people they train change reality. So... me sounding impressive means nothing. Delivering content means nothing.

I have to create learning experiences that change the way people see things, and provide them what they need to translate those principles into actions within their own context - a context with complexities I can't see. It has to be so vital to them that they want to implement it for their own reasons, not mine. I have to help them develop the implementation plan. If it doesn't make real changes in the real world I've failed.

On the contrary though, we succeed.
