Does it ever seem as though there are *ZERO* genuine people in the world anymore?

Or does it just seem that way to me?

There are genuine people. The numbers are quite low and they're hard to come by but not extinct yet.

This random incident happened to me the other day.

On my way to work, I ran out of fuel on my motorcycle. There wasn't a gas station anywhere near me and even if I had to get to one that would be 3-4 miles away. A person stopped by and offered me fuel despite running on reserve. I felt so bad so I offered him cash to compensate as he had helped me. To my surprise, he denied it. All he said was this, "I hope you get to work safely, that itself is satisfaction for me. I don't need the cash. You can help someone else in need to repay me if you want to."

That was really heartwarming and it's hard to come across such people. I lost hope before that in humanity but my view changed. A small glimmer of hope can make a huge difference.

@Beatbox34 That was really kind. Nice to know not everyone only looks out for themselves.

@Tomorrow There are genuine people even though this world is filled with filthy people who are downright selfish.

I have met some and it inspires me to stay the same.

@Beatbox34 I hope you do. I have always been genuine but now, I wonder if I really care anymore. 🤷‍♀️. Maybe I'm just tired and things will look better tomorrow. Meh.

@Tomorrow Given how people have used me for their selfish needs. I really lost hope in humanity but I do try my best to help people despite being an introvert.

But yes, genuine people do exist. It may be a smaller number but it's enough to make a difference.
