It depends on your needs....UHD is a little sharper than standard HDTV (1080p), but the difference is noticeable much more on large screen TVs than on smaller sets.
I have a 32” HDTV, and the picture is wonderful....but for those who have, say, a 70” TV the UHD would appear sharper than the HDTV.
(There’s a pretty good difference in the price, which many feel isn’t worth the additional money on smaller sets but might be worth it on larger sets if superior picture clarity is very important to you).
