If the person you met on a dating site doesn't want to meet in a public place like a restaurant, store, etc. but wants to meet in a private setting

Like a park then that's a huge red flag correct?

Definately. Meet up somewhere with cameras. Like a mall or Mc Donalds. Kinda sucky, but it's safe and if the worst happens a least there's a record.
