When it comes to love, your brain can’t outsmart your heart.

It’s why so many relationships fail when we try to be overly rational about what a relationship SHOULD be. In the end love isn’t always rational, your brain is meant to understand reason, it will never “get” love in the way your heart does.

That isn’t to say to follow your heart blindly, but it means if you dive into a relationship while ignoring what your heart is trying to say then it’s doomed from the start. Love is a primal and spiritual part of us, it’s born from a place we don’t fully understand. That’s why if you try force love or tell your brain it needs to love, it usually doesn’t work.

I’m saying this as much for myself as anyone else by the way, it helps to write out your thoughts, from time to time.
