First, both of your religions are equally nuts, not your gods but the actual social constructions you make out of what you believe are insane. Second, that's just confirmation bias and not rooted in logic. It's the same as Christians who think that diseases that wipe out tribes who are not Abrahamic are "God's wrath," you say "man the devil will come for them" and something just happens and at that moment you say "oh! Proof of God's existence see I told you!"
