Ahmed Deedat, a Prominent Islamic missionary once told a Christian evangelist during a debate, "if your Jesus was so powerful, he would mute me"

Not long thereafter, he suffered a stroke which left him paralysed from the neck down. He was unable to speak or swallow, and remained this way for 9 years until his death in 2005.

And how is love triumphing over hate in this post?

@Frank52 Ask the Taliban and Boko Haram

@LoveTriumphsOverHate That's a strange reply. I asked YOU and you direct me to someone who doesn't believe what you do.

@LoveTriumphsOverHate Really? So what was the Inquisition all about? What were the French Wars of Religion all about? What was the conquest of the New World about?

It's amazing to me the ways in which modern Christians are blind to their own violent history.

@LoveTriumphsOverHate I can show you nice pictures to what Christians and Catholics did to slaves during their reign, want to see them? There's actually thousands by the way.

At the end of the day, give both of you power and this is what you turn out like.

@SW-User I remember reading an article about Christian missionaries endangering tribes who would be wiped out if they got Covid. As it stands, they would be Covid free because they're isolated from us but missionaries who wanted to preach at all costs want to endanger their lives.

See I don't believe all Christians nor Islamic people are inherently violent, I think it's cultural despite the religion, it depends on how one was raised. But if you think about all the atrocities Christians have done, it's no more different than Islam except two different personality styles.

The extremist offset of Islam is more the "crash and burn" type, the extremist sect of Christianity is more the "wolf in sheep's clothing type," they more rely on making themselves to appear more "meek" than what they really are while that hides their true intentions.

Christians can say the most aggressively anti gay things even to the point of wishing death but still convince everyone that they do it out of love. That's the only difference between the two.

When the bible talks about wolf in sheep's clothing, it's talking about its followers, that's who the bible was warning us from.

@SatanBurger That is an interesting way of framing the difference between the two. I'm not one of those people who will say "all religions are the same" and dismiss any religion-specific grievances. I can recognize that Islam is the source of most religious extremism in the 21st century and that Christianity's extremism is mostly in the past. But I will call out these bad faith arguments that portray Christianity as inherently peaceful and loving and Islam as inherently violent when the two are capable of both.

@LoveTriumphsOverHate Your cartoon in no way addressed the question I asked you.
LoveTriumphsOverHate · 36-40, M
@SatanBurger The difference is Jesus never told any of his followers to murder people or force them to convert to Christianity. Those Christians are exploiting religion in order to justify their hate. In fact, Jesus warned us of so called 'Christians' who would use Christianity to do wicked things.

So, regardless did what so-called Christianos are doing, it's not in the bible. There are good and bad people who claim to be Christians. You should also look at all the good Christians have done. Look at all the charities and children's hospitals that were founded by Christians.

The Koran on the other hand directs Muslims to kill the infidels if they do not convert.

"And when the forbidden months have passed, kill the idolaters wherever you find them and take them prisoners, and beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they repent and observe Prayer and pay the Zakat, then leave their way free. Surely, Allah is Most Forgiving, Merciful."

Muhammad is the only 'prophet' who broke all the 10 commandments. He killed, he robbed, he had sex with another man's wife - Zaynab. He married a 7 year old girl. Compare Jesus to Muhammad. It's good vs evil.

@LoveTriumphsOverHate Yes the Bible says to kill non-believers.

https://www.patheos.com/blogs/dispatches/2015/01/22/yes-the-bible-does-say-to-kill-infidels/

The problem with the Biblical warning of false believers is that it isn't very specific.

So which of the 3,000 sects is the right translation?

They can't all be false just because you want them to be, there's nasty stuff in the Bible and a believer that does that stuff is technically doing gods word.

So you could be the false believer, how would you know you weren't?
