If someone has pointed out a mistake, when possible I'll correct it and make changes to avoid a repeat.
If it's a character flaw, I'll examine how it affects me and others and if necessary try to improve it.
Sometimes a criticism might come out of the other person not getting their needs met. If its someone close to me, I'll try to do what I can to meet the need without sacrificing my own.
If the criticism is mistaken I'll just disregard it.
If they keep insisting, I'll explain why it's wrong and show the proof.
There are occasions when I haven't handled it well - when I've felt discomfort or anger about someone making an unjustified negative judgement and when I've been powerless to do anything about it.
It's turned into resentment, dislike of the person, and a desire to avoid them.
I don't like that I've allowed it to affect me this way - I shows me I need to work a bit more on my inner issues.
