Do you think a robot can learn to love and be loved?

Seriously I think it can be programmed to look and act and talk like it loves but it's just a program.

But maybe that's the way we humans are too....just robots that are programmed by our brains and body chemistry to respond and call it love... 🤷‍♀️

Well love is kind of an abstract concept. If you believe it's just complex chemical reactions happening within the brain then for sure a robot could be designed to love. If it goes beyond our physical bodies and involves the soul then probably not. It could certainly mimic love but would not be able to actually experience it.

My juries out..someone gave my aunt Alexa[which she had no use for but..!!] So I asked her whether she loved me...she 🤗said "of course I do!!

A few months later I was again visiting,same question..and she said,I have learned I really cannot know the answer😞

Essentially, can a robot ever have feelings? Doubtful isn't it? That's why AI could be very dangerous.

To have the full spectrum of love, wouldn't they have to be able to reproduce with humans? 🤔😈

Love of children!... Love of siblings... Love of parents and so forth.

I don't think AI is anywhere near that kind of awareness.... yet anyway. Without it, it is just mimicking. hard to know what the future holds though
