Group identification

I've always had a problem about identifying with groups; whether it be race, nationality, political party, religion, support for a particlar sport team.......Anyone got any thoughts on this?

@Fukfacewillie When I was submitting that post I had to choose a group heading for them to accept it! Something of a contradiction.
