If you ask me, one of the biggest reasons Trump won in 2016 and became president is because everyone had realized that what we consider "normal" is fucking terrible, so voters rolled the dice with someone they had no idea what he'd be like. But that ended up being even worse. We went out of the frying pan and into the fire. And now with the crisis caused by COVID-19, absence has made the heart grow fonder, and people wanna go back to the way things were before cos they seem so much better than what we have now. I think if Trump loses and Biden becomes president, and we work back to what we had prior to 2016, people will be happy at first but pretty quickly it'll wear off and we'll all realize that "normal" sucks, and we need to find the right kind of change this time around.
