321 child hating wankers in the British parliament

I don't know why I should be surprised by the number of MPs who voted Not to extend the safety net provision of school meals for children during school holidays. The comments made by those on the tory benches were particularly revolting...and then after they voted to deny the poorest that safety net, because that is all it was, for the days the schools are closed, trooped off to their subsidised canteen to trough out, congratulating themselves and each other.

There are currently many local councils looking to work something out between local cafes and restaurants.
Child poverty action groups are mobilizing many charities to see if they can help.

But it shouldn't have to be like that.

Conservatives constantly 'tinker' with systems and put ever more 'conditions' before allowing folk to 'qualify' for anything those in need may actually be 'entitled' to.

All that after an 'independent' body recommended MP's should get an extra 3K a year just a few months ago !
Along with all the trillions borrowed for business.
