Sybil

@LadyGrace Did you know that the psychiatrist that wrote the book about Sybil fictionalized the story. She based it on Sybil’s 17 personalities. Sybil’s family spoke out about it after the psychiatrist died. Said that Sybil was not abused by her mother as was portrayed in the movie. Sybil was deeply attached to her mother and when she went off to college she started having serious problems. She may have had traumas in her life such as viewing the dead body at a funeral but the other types of abuse they claim did not exist. I don’t know why the family didn’t speak out about it earlier, maybe Sybil got paid good to not speak out. She became an art professor after she went through therapy etc.
@cherokeepatti Yeees!!! Isn't that something! Boy I tell you I was really disappointed when I found that out quite some time ago. What a rip off but the movie was still good and Sally sure can act. I'm glad you mentioned that, for others who may not know that.
@cherokeepatti yeah I'm wondering why this family didn't speak out before that. They must have got paid something.

@LadyGrace Maybe Sybil did and asked them not speak out.
@cherokeepatti yeah that's a thought. She might have.
