Twins, especially identical twins, often have issues with seperating their identity from each other. Giving them rhyming names encourages this "package deal" mentality & makes it harder for them to be viewed as two separate people.

@NorthernRoses I don’t feel that’s true. I’ve certainly never heard of twins feeling like a package deal before. Have you?

@NorthernRoses I wondered when I read your comment. People should treat you as an individual. Although I like alliterated names, I would treat twins as individuals.

@Looking Yeah, exactly! Which you don't really do when you give them rhyming or clearly matching names. Or, you might think you are gonna treat them like individuals regardless of their cute matching names, but they're always gonna be treated like a package deal by others because of it.

@NorthernRoses I think I’d be less keen on dressing twins the same. I think that may be worse.

@Looking Oh yeah, definitely. Also letting them have the exact same hobbies/interests. Rarely talked about, but I almost think that's worse than dressing them the same.

Raising twins can be a whole minefield huh. 🤔
