My old roommate was a super cool guy, introduced me to his friends when I didn't have any. 🥰
SunKiss3d · 31-35, F
@BlueVeins those are the best kinda roomates

In the 12 years I have lived in this apartment I've had 9 roommates, all of them women. I've made two bad choices, fortunately each only made my life miserable for a few months, and the rest have been great. Denver has become an expensive town and I can't afford to live in this beautiful apartment by myself.

I’ve had many roommates, some great and some not so much. Mostly good experiences though.
Henal · 26-30, F
Yeah, when I was at university. I had to share a flat with 7 other people for the first 2 years and then 9 others in my third year. The last two years were okay, but first year was bad. Two of them dealt weed, so the whole flat smelled of weed all the time and there were people always coming and going. Plus they would play extremely loud music at ungodly hours. And of course, living with students meant the kitchen was always a mess. Luckily, we didn't have to share bathrooms..

Yes. They've all been bad experiences. Plenty of them were thieves, one tried something when I was drunk and nearly passed out in my own room, some of them argued all the time, and none of them would clean anything up. Wait. Except for one. At least there was that. She and I just didn't get along, but at least the place was clean.

at boarding school i slept in a dorm...
Yulianna · 26-30, F
@TheSirfurryanimalWales first two years, when i was 14 years and 15 years, eight in dorm. when i was 16 years, six. 17 years, four.

in my last year, i was senior girl in my school house, so i had my own study bedroom, not shared.
@Yulianna cripes! The lack of privacy would have done for me...actually I just remembered there were three of us in a room on a rugby trip.I hated it.
Yulianna · 26-30, F
@TheSirfurryanimalWales 😁 privacy? what the fuck is that?

still, it had its compensations... communal showers every morning and evening. ☺️
Beatbox34 · 31-35, M
Yes. I've had both good and bad experiences.

WillaKissing · 56-60, M
Yes in the Army until I advanced in rank and got my own room. Not bad at all, it was actually quite good, because I learned a lot about people of different ethnicities from all over the U.S. and the world that joined the Army them selves learning about their cultures and heritages too.

During my job I had to stay in university hostel room with one of my colleague. He belonged to different religion. He was of very reserved nature and my experience was good.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
It was a very short period of time and she wasn't there frequently. I was shocked and appalled by some things but it wasn't a nightmare.

There's a great line from Rick Moranis in Ghostbusters. "I used to have a room mate, but my mom moved to Florida"!!

Yes, a couple at different times, when I was much younger.

It wasn't bad, but now I wouldn't.
UpsideOutInsideDown · 41-45, M
I used to live with two. They were both students, both very cool, used to get along great, which was really nice.
thepreposterouspanda · 36-40, M
A couple of times. The first time was great. The second time was one of the worst experiences of my life. :D

Rambler · 61-69, M

SouthernGuy · 41-45, M
Good and bad my roommate was chill af but his girlfriend was a psycho who screamed day and night. I moved after a year of it
REMsleep · 41-45, F
When I was younger my best friend became my roommate. We fell out because she was bringing thru alot of guys in a really tiny place daily and then got a toxic boyfriend that barely ever went home. It was uncomfortable.
I never knew that she was going to do all of that because it was the first time that we both had freedom and she had some issues that I didn't know about.
Being roommates with someone you hardly know is sometimes easier than a friend that might dissapoint you.
DisturbOne · 41-45, M
Yes and roommates suck !
