@LAlexV She was something. Don't fret over your encounter. Blind people know they're blind and they know sighted people sometimes are too.
Another time I was with D. in a department store, browsing, when she stepped on a freshly washed and wet floor. The irritable mopper said, "Can't you see the floor is wet? waddaya, blind?" She looked at D., saw she WAS blind and went pale. She trailed after D., apologizing. D. got annoyed. "Lady, it's OK. I already knew I was blind."
