Why do some people spray their face mask with perfume?

It may be for the same reason I chew strongly scented/flavored gum when I wear a mask? The hot air inside my mask kind of makes me want to choke and if it is scented/flavored right it isn't so bad.

So they can be Covid -19 compliant and smell like a hooker at the same time.

I’ve never heard of that, but I would assume to make it smell nice.
