Like sharp said, if you're pro abortion then you're clearly a hypocrite if you say it counts as two.
@MartinTheFirst it doesn't have anything to do with being pro abortion. Many places have laws about that. It's pretty black and white. Not a political opinion
xSharp · 31-35, M
@Callmewhatyouwill its called having your cake and eating it too
@xSharp it's called the law written down in black and white. And murdering a mother has 0 to do with abortion.
xSharp · 31-35, M
@Callmewhatyouwill but is she a mother before or after the child is born? up until then she is simply pregnant, there are laws that require 9 witnesses for a rape to be charged as a rape, is that black and white as well?
@xSharp ffs. All laws are dependant on the jurisdiction and how they're written.
They'll only he enforced based on that.
This concept shouldn't have to be explained to you at your age.

@Callmewhatyouwill No she didn't ask about the law, she asked what we think.
@MartinTheFirst I didn't see those words. It says "...has he killed..." Not what's your opinion.
xSharp · 31-35, M
@Callmewhatyouwill laws are made by humans and humans are imperfect and biased to their own beliefs, a crime here can be a right over there, we have no agreed upon notion of right and wrong, to have something explained to you is to have your own thoughts pushed aside to make room for anothers..
@xSharp your opinion of a laws does not negate it's validity or how it's applied across multiple jurisdictions.
Abortion and shooting a pregnant mother are 2 different issues. And have little to do with each other
And if you want to jump on the abortion train, cool. If the shooter kills the mother and also her fetus/unborn child. Then the shooter has taken away the mothers right to choose. The major factor in abortion laws and arguments

@Callmewhatyouwill the validity of laws depends on the states ability and willingness to enforce them.

@MartinTheFirst you are correct here

@Callmewhatyouwill does it come to cold logic ?
@revenant on emotionally charged issues like this one, yes.
revenant · F
@Callmewhatyouwill I am having difficulties in applying detached cold unemotional logic to things human. Although I can appreciate how that approach would help to make up a decision,..
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@Callmewhatyouwill In a way I agree, a person needs to be logical, objective and unbiased when making a decision in court, but being cold is not part of it. You've completely misunderstood justice.
@MartinTheFirst no I haven't.
I didn't write or pass any laws regarding the topic. Just simply saying that such laws and details exist in many places.
Also I gave no opinion on the matter except that it's not the same as abortion and shouldn't be argued as if it is.

@Callmewhatyouwill what about people fighting with their conscience ?
@revenant on what? Murdering someone?
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@Callmewhatyouwill Thanks for stating the obvious. Laws exist. Nice.
revenant · F
@Callmewhatyouwill yes. What if your conscience does not agree with the law ?
