Fighting fires

Just thought you'd like an updated on the fires surrounding us. The largest and closest is about 50%, one is 40%, and the smallest is about 22% contained. Can still smell the smoke, but the heat and ashes have dimmed. With that big one just a few miles away from us, we are still on alert.

[b]UPDATE[/b] 3:15pm. All three fires surrounding are now over 50% contained and all evacs have been lifted. A sign of relief, with hopes of remaining.

We were so close to having to leave our place too!😓🔥I took pictures of the smoke but never posted them.

The weather is starting to cooperate a bit. But we in CA are FAR from out of this. Most of the current fires were caused by lightning. The vast majority of wildfires are caused by people so that wild card is still in play. Good luck up there.

@silentwriter180 I believe they just lifted all evac orders around the River and Carmel fires. Good news!
