@Cierzo Hmm. I've searched "wuhan pool party" and I can find very little coverage at the moment, mostly I suppose because it emerged exactly 6h ago according to the earliest timestamp.

I'll wait a bit to see if it gets either validated by further evidence, or if it comes out to be old material being recycled in order to make some headlines gain a little extra from the clicks/views.

@Elessar I wish it was proven these images were not taken this year. Otherwise China is laughing at us again.

@Cierzo The source is good, it's not a video taken out of context and re-titled / re-branded as AFP, but it's on the official AFP channel (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjDLFjmkNuQ).

I have multiple hypotheses:

0. They legit tested everyone before making them enter (still risky, tests aren't perfect),
1. This is the phase-3 clinical trial of one or more of their vaccines
2. This is the post-market surveillance of one or more of their vaccines
3. This is a social experiment to assess the R0 on a cohort population (we're speaking of the CCP after all), maybe they want to assess practically the level of herd immunity in the hardest-hit region, I don't know.
5. The Chinese govt/regulators are just as dumb as many others.
6. AFP fell for someone selling them a pre-pandemic video (I hope they're not as unprofessional not to doublecheck)

@Elessar Being the CCP, number 3 looks the more plausible to me.

There is also a 'western countries will be pissed at these images' feeling behind it too.

@Cierzo Yeah, could perfectly be PR. Sorta like, "look we managed it so well we can even organize parties in perfect safety". Maybe you needed a positive IgG serological in order to enter xD
